Programs
The North Central Louisiana Arts Council, believing that the visual, performing and literary arts are a necessary enhancement for all individuals, seeks to enrich the region by fostering opportunities for creative expression; to establish a strong presence of the arts wherein the artists, arts organizations and community can thrive; and to share our diverse cultural heritage, celebrating not just who we are, but what we can become. The North Central Louisiana Arts Council serves the five parishes of Lincoln, Bienville, Claiborne, Jackson, and Union.
Some of NCLAC’s programs are ongoing and annual, but NCLAC also continually seeks new ways to serve our parishes with accessible and high-quality arts programs. To allow for innovation, growth, and partnerships, we've divided our programs into three categories that serve as umbrellas, including our signature programs, as well as new and temporary opportunities.
Diamond Programs
NCLAC bases its “diamond” programs on the Four C’s: Culture, Community, Creativity, and Caring. Diamond programs bring entertainment and culture to the whole community.

Highlighted Program: Peach Festival Art Exhibition
Since 1987, NCLAC has sponsored the Peach Festival Art Exhibition, a community art show during the annual Squire Creek Louisiana Peach Festival.
MARK Programs
NCLAC is making its “mark” by encouraging creativity in our youth through: creative workshops, educational programs, visiting artists, touring exhibits. MARK programs are tailored to the needs of our parishes.
Highlighted Program: Drama Warehouse
Drama Warehouse teaches students the fundamentals of theatre, from auditions through performance.
Cultural Economy Initiatives
NCLAC is building our cultural economy in the following ways: turning creativity into sales, marketing our strengths, making culture an industry, and growing a cultural destination. CEI programs invest in the economic future of our community.
Highlighted Program: Holiday Arts Tour
Holiday Arts Tour showcases area artists and musicians for a weekend each November, allowing them to interact with the public and sell their work.
