Area home brewers compete for the best brew, as attendees sample their beers and other micro-brews donated to the event. Live music, food trucks, and fun raffles make the night a unique social event in Ruston!

ARToberfest proceeds support NCLAC’s Holiday Arts Tour and other programming.

*ARToberfest 2016 is set for Friday, October 21*

2015 ARToberfest wrap-up:

There were 500 or so people at ARToberfest 2015, our 6th annual beer-tasting event.

We have a very supportive community in Ruston, and many people came together to help NCLAC with this fundraising event.

Thank you to Catherine and Winston McVea, our title sponsors. Thanks to Marsala Beverage for providing our commercial ART2015_Aerial-glassbeers; Marsala has been an ARToberfest sponsor for years. Thanks to Devine Wines & Spirits for sponsoring our musical performances and the Devine Home Brewer Awards.  Thanks to Coburn’s Supply Company, our Relief Sponsor, for providing two port-o-potties for the evening. Thanks to Fine Line Supply, our pint glass sponsor. Thanks to Rapid Signs for providing a super backdrop for our photo corner. Thanks to Dean at the Norton Building for his support and for providing Ruston with such a beautiful event venue. Thanks to Sundown Tavern, our After-Party sponsor. Thanks to Josh Shirley and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers for feeding our volunteers.

Thank you as well to our home brewers who made and donated A LOT of beer for tasting: Jean Gourd, Hayden Legg & Brandy Winfree, Ryan Nestrud, Richard Breiten, and the team of Karl Puljak, Cassidy Keim, Michael Plette and Joey Slaughter. Congratulations to Jean Gourd; his For Peat’s Sake brew won the Devine Home Brewer Brewers’ Choice Award. Congratulations to Karl Puljak’s team for winning the People’s choice Devine Home Brewer Award for their brew Buzz.
Thanks to our local musicians who donated their time and talents: Monty Russell, Bethany Raybourn and The Bluesaholics. Thank you to Allie Bennett, emcee extraordinaire.
Thank you to these merchants for their donations of raffle baskets: Parish Press, Railway Coffee, CrossFit Ruston, Park Avenue Antiques, and Gibson’s Natural Grocer.

Thanks to these brewers for their donations: Red River from Shreveport, Flying Heart from Bossier City, Leaky Roof Meadery, and Abita.
On the ground level, we had a large team of people who set up and/or worked at the event. Their help was invaluable: Megan Troxel, Sarah McConnell, Ryan Rorie, Casey Fair, Brandon Touchet, Hannah Taylor, Linda Aber, Jordan Whaley, Hunter Boudreaux, Kyle Kemege, Collin Tranter, Alisha Ashworth, Wesley Eubanks, Marcie Nelson, Becky Knox, Allison Ford, David Reid, Jacob Newton, Kristin Daigrepont, Victoria Smith, Joshua Mitchell, Dan Flores, Nick Trichel, Juliana Kemege, Evan Helms, Capree Bramel, and interns Adrianna Speer and Molly Butler.
