OUR HISTORY:

WHO WE ARE:

In 1987, a group of artists met with the tourism promotional group Piney Hills Country because they felt the north central Louisiana area artists were underserved. This group formed the steering committee for NCLAC, which was incorporated in 1988 to serve Lincoln, Bienville, Claiborne, Jackson, and Union Parishes. Its first project was Piney Hills Gallery, a consignment sales shop. In the following years, with an initial arts census of the region followed by community cultural surveys and cultural planning meetings, the following goals were formulated to serve our mission: enhance regional participation in the arts; enhance regional arts organizations; enhance opportunities for regional artists.
